'the highest point of achievement; a climax.'

The innate driving force behind humanity's progress has been its desire to reach the apex. Since mankind's discovery of fire, its efforts to reach the pinnacle of innovation has intensified. The advent of technology and our ability to manipulate it has meant that we're constantly redefining what the apex is. Our desire to climb to the top has meant that we, as a species, have come to be defined by that desire. From the advancements made in extending human life to our search for what lies beyond this planet, we are defined by the work we do to make the universe submit to our demands - regardless of the consequences.

Will we ever reach the apex? Have we, in our constant effort to create and innovate, made this definition of the apex - 'the highest point of achievement; a climax.' - outdated? Does an apex for humanity even exist anymore?

It is in this context that Spryk, the electronic music and art exploration project of Tejas Nair, approaches his latest album. Titled Apex, the seven-track audio-visual experience is the result of the Mumbai-based producer's efforts to understand humanity's continuous endeavour to find and reach the pinnacle of human existence.
